Low water pressure in all faucets

I live in a two-story town house; the water pressure is low in all the faucets and showers. Is there anything I can do to increase it?

Cool

What type of water service? Public? Private well?
There may be a number of things that you can do, or there may be not much.
Please describe what you have. (We'll try to help you.)
(Have you tried removing and cleaning all of the aerators on the ends of the sink spouts and the showerheads? It might just be mineral deposits or debris in the lines. )

low pressure

Thanks for the quick reply.
This is public system. No I have not tried to clean out all of the aerators, guess this is a first step.

I was thinking there must be something somewhere to turn higher!

I'm not sure if we're allowed to turn up the pressure from the street?!?

THanks, I'll try cleaning all aerators & see.

Cool

If your aerators and showerheads are clear (and you're certain that all of your shut-off valves are wide open, especially your main), and your pressure is still low, the next step is to see if you have a Pressure Reducing Valve after an individual water meter for your townhouse.
You can adjust, repair or replace PRVs. You can do a Search above about PRVs and how to adjust them, if you have one.
Good Luck!
