green around copper

i just installed a hotwater tank about 2 months ago i used flex pipe with compresion fittings everything appears to be working and me like a worried wart i check the connections often. today i was down in the basement and i noticed a green spot where the compresson nut meets the copper pipe no bigger than the size of a pin head is my connection not tight enough i took a small piece of sand paper and sanded the spot i have no leaks and everything appears to be normal do i have anything to worry about

Cool

Nope.
You just had a small seep leak that has apparently sealed itself.
Don't worry about it unless you can see water leaking.
Good LucK!
