Question Plumbing

I have a daughter that has and old home which has the original high tank toilet. The tank is made of Oak with a metal liner. The tank is starting to leak, must have small pin holes in the liner. Any ideas on how to repair it. I don't want to just put in a new modern toilet since the rest of home has many of the same original lamps and such.

Cool

Are you certain that it's the metal tank liner itself, and not a gasket or washer?
What is the metal? Copper? Galvanized steel?
Have you tried to remove the liner? Perhaps you can get it repaired, or have another made at a metal shop.
Carefully take it all apart and go from there.
Good Luck!
Mike
