How to Fix a Running Toilet no bulb

i have a toilet that continues to run after the tank fills. i viewed the diagrams on how to repair, but the toilet does not use a floating bulb. how can i tell if the "floating" mechanism is not working? confused:

Cool

You probably need to replace the tank water inlet valve.
Get a Fluidmaster 400A float-cup type fill valve and just follow the easy installation directions that come with it.
Good Luck!

the fill valve is spring loaded. You can turn the top push it up or down and turn it back to lock it into place. This is how you adjust tank level.
