Angry toilet

I am trying to replace my toilet seat.
But 1 of the bolts has rusted.
I sprayed a few times some wd40 on it
but it doesn't loosen up.
There is no room for a haksaw.
And braking it of only will chipp the boil.
Pleas help

Hello: rodejo

I moved your question to this forum plumbing. Plumbers are the professionals and can offer you helpful suggestions. The forum the question was in does not accept questions and replies cannot be posted.

I am not a plumber but would suggest you apply liquid wrench. Allow it to soak in and than gently tap the nut to help loosen the rust.

applying heat to the nut but not to the bolt if possible. Heat will expand the nut from the screw and may help free it up. A soldering iron may provide enought heat to accomplish the task.

Sometimes you can use a pair of pliers to break the hinge assembly around the rusted bolt... With all the plastic gone you can work on the bolt then, either cutting it or grinding it down...

Or put on some safty goggles, get out a drill and a good bit and drill the bolt off.
