Angry How do I disassemble my shower drain?

Single person shower stall leaking from the drain into my cellar. The leak seams to be coming from somewhere close to whatever joint there is close to the stall itself and not from the pipes below. So how do I get this apart? From inside the stall I canít really tell because everything is so filthy (already removed the chrome drain) but from below I can see a rather large hexed collar (I guess) that thereís no way I could get a wrench around. Iím assuming this all needs to come apart for the fix. Are there drawings on the Ďnet somewhere where I could confirm the design and then discuss disassembly with one of you? Comments appreciated! Thanks in advance. (Then we get to talk about repairing cellar ceiling, but that's another forum!)

That nut needs to come off. There's a wrench out there that will do it. This will prolly require you to remove the drain piping below it to get it off.
