adding a shower

I have 1 1/2 baths now. I want to add a shower to the 1/2 bath. There's a wall dividing the two bathrooms. There is a sink on the other side of the wall from where I want to add the shower. Can I 'T' off the hot and cold lines to run lines for the shower hot and cold? Can I 'T' into the sink drain pipe right above where it goes into the concrete slab? Thanks, Rob

Yes, and no. Tapping into the hot and cold water lines is no problem. But, the lavy drain is only a 1-1/2" line, and a shower needs a 2" line. Since the house is on a slab, you would be looking at removing some concrete to access the drain lines to install this shower properly.
