Sump Pump won't stop

I have a submersible sump pump which does not want to stop even though there is no water left in the well. I suspect that it may be due to a faulty float switch, but I don't know where to look for this switch. I have already cleaned the filter at the bottom of the pum and that didn't stop the pump.

If there's no obvious float switch tethered to the discharge line, then you probably have a diaphragm type mounted to the side of the pump.
Usually this type of switch is replacable, but not always.
If you're not sure how to go about it, have someone familiar with them do it.

Thanks for your reply. I got in touch with the distributor of my sump pump and he informed me that the pump comes with a auto operation pressure switch which is replacable($15).
