Angry Grohe 17mm shower valve socket wrench

What do you guys use to take out a 17mm shower valve. I can't find a 17mm shower socket wrench. Is there a US size that works? If not, what do you use. I have a Grohe system and I can't get the hot water valve out of the wall. I need more leverage I hope to get it out. The adj wrench I've tried is not doing the trick? Help?

I use 3/4 drive sockets for those faucets.I put the stem through the socket and use a pipe wrench. There are several faucets out there that the tub wrenches wont fit. Some of the ones that do fit are in to tight and they strip the wrench.
