Leaky Bathtub Faucet

In all instructions for replacing washers to stop leaks, it says to turn off the water supply. However, I don't know how to do that in my bathtub/shower, where all pipes are inside the wall. Please advise.

99% of tub and shower valves do not have seperate shut off's.You will have to shut the whole house off at the main.A few of the newer single handle faucets have cut off's behind the cover plate.Problem is most of them leak after cutting them off.so cut the whole house off and save yourself some time.
