Spray Nozzle Repair

I am hopeful that someone will be able to help me. Tonight, I broke the spray nozzle at my kitchen sink. The lever that is pushed to make the sprayer work broke off. I would like to try and replace the nozzle myself. Is this a difficult job?

Thank you so much.

Most spray nozzles unscrew at/near the hose. You can get a replacement nozzle/handle for a few bucks, or a fancy one for a few more bucks.

There are 2 hard parts of this job.

Remembering which washer went on first, there are 2 of them. Thin rubber washer and a thicker, hard rubber washer. If it leaks when you turn the water on, reverse the order of the washers.

If you change the bottom part of the sprayer, because the new top piece looks so much cleaner than the yucky base... DO NOT drop the little retaining clip down the drain. Put a paper towel or rag or anything in the drain, just in case it flys a little bit. Use a small screw driver to remove old clip, long nosed pliers for installing new clip.

You'll be done in under 5 minutes....

Have fun and good luck....

Thank you both so much. I bought a new sprayer and just screwed it on to the old one. I was too timid to change the base, but may change my mind.

My first repair! Funny, no one seems as excited about it as I! They don't even want to look at it anymore!

Thank you again!
