toilet tank liner

I purchased toilet tank liner kits. The adhesive that came with one of the kits had hardened probably due to exceeding the shelf life. Since I have already trimmed the foam, it seems easier to purchase a tube of adhesive / sealant if I can get the right stuff. Could you recommend the proper adhesive/sealant to attach and seal the foam to the ceramic tank.

Thanks

Cool

I would think that tub-and-tile caulk would work. Just make certain that everything is completely dry when you apply it, and let it cure per the instructions on the tube.
Good Luck!

The stuff that came with the first kit resembles a type of liquid nails (smell and appearance) - it is a petroleum base. I am not certain of the adhesive performance of 100% silicon tub and tile for constantly emersed conditions. Without 100% sealing and adhesion, I think the toilet will still sweat.

Cool

You might try contacting the manufacturer on the Internet for their advice. They may even send you some.
Good Luck!
