low pressure in bathroom sink

The bathroom sink taps have very low pressure. They were fine a few days ago but now seem slow. We have noticed a leak in the pipe in the basement, we think it connects to that sink, ( rookies).
Is there anything we can try to fix this, or is this a job for the plumber?
Thanks in advance.
PS This website has been an amazing help to us as first time homeowners, Thanks

I would first take out the aerator and check and see if it is full of depris. For a leak to affect water pressure that much would have to be preety big.Let us know what kind of pipe you have and were it is and we can tell you how to fix leak.
