Well pump question

I'm trying to get the specs for my well pump so that I can size a new pressure tank for my system.

It's a Goulds model# 5ES03412 (4" submersible).

I've checked their site, but I can't find this pump.

Is there a way to decipher the model number to get the discharge rate and horsepower?

Also, are there any pressure tanks to stay away from? How's Flotec? Is Amtrol still good?

Thanks all.

Cool

Ron (Pumpman) Peeks is the resident wells-and-pumps expert, and until he comes along you can visit his site at www.peekspump.com and another excellent tutorial site at www.jessstryker.com
Good Luck!

Well pump question

Goulds doesn't use this designation anymore, but I believe that you have a 5 gpm, 1/3 hp, 4" submersible pump.
I'd be a little leery of the Flotec. They're cheaper for a reason. Amtrol is still a good tank, as is Myers, the Goulds Hydro-Pro line, and others.
