remove a nut from toilet tank

I'm trying to remove the toilet tank but couldn't remove the screw and nut as they are bit rusted and they keep rotating. How do I get the tank out? any suggestion?

If there is sufficient space between tank and base, carefully cut the bolts with a hacksaw. Just had to go that route myself to fix a small leak around one of the bolts.

Hacksaw the bolt off between the tan and the bowl, should have room between the tank and bowl to do this,
