Same ampage required?

Considering replacing my ISE Badger 1 with a slightly higher model.... perhaps increasing amps needed by about 1. Will this jump typically cause problems, or is that small enough of an increase that I don't need to worry about it?

If I do need to worry about it, how do I check what my electrical supply line can handle?

Thanks!

14-2 wire is 15 amp rated

12-2 wire is 20 amp rated

If wire is very pliable and thin, it is most likely 14-2 wire.

Garbage disposals always draw under 15 amps in most residential applications.

I installed a insinkerator high-end model and it's total draw was 8.3 max load.
