3/4" water supply

I'm putting a new stall shower in which includes multiple shower heads. I am upgrading all water supply lines/valves to 3/4" to give me plenty of volume to suport the multpile shower heads. To my suprise the contractor used a 3/4" - 1/2" reducer to connect the 3/4" pipe that now feeds the shower stall. Am I going to get the most out of this configuration or should the water feed be connect to a 3/4"' + water supply line?

Have him come back and make it a straight 3/4" as you specified.

That reduction, even though it is legal, is like bending a garden hose and still having water pressure, just less and defeats all the work you did to make sure volume reaches your shower heads.

The shower heads that you don't want to have alot of pressure to I would leave the flow restrictors in.
