Vent pipes or "stacks"

It has been suggested that we have our stacks cleaned. Is this involved or expensive?
We are on a septic system with a recently replaced drain field but the toilets and showers occasionally back up
Once I access the pipe outside and plunge it once or twice, the water flows freely into the tank as if there was some sort of vacuum?

Check the roof top for vents, flush them out with a hose, to me it sounds like the line is plugged.

stacks dont usually present any clog problems. Usually it is the horizontal lines that could use a cleaning. If you have a persistant problem then you may have a sag or a seperation in the line. Running a camera down there would help you deturmine what your problem is.
