service thru wall or floor?

We have a leak in the front yard and are about to put in new service from street. We live in Cincinnati, 25 year old house. Any pros/cons to bringing the new service in thru the foundation wall versus up through basement floor (as it currently is)? TIA

Coming through basement floor was original construction.
Cost will be higher if you want to do it the same way again.
Cheap way is to bore hole, insert new line, seal foundation wall real well on outside and use expanding foam from inside to further seal hole.
Make sure new line is buried below frost line.

Have fun, be safe if you are doing the work, more questions or problems, ask away and someone will answer you...
