Question Removing ceramic bath fixtures

Does anyone know how to remove old ceramic wall fixtures from painted sheetrock walls. I have a toilet paper holder and towel rack I want to remove and replace.

Thanks

In all likelihood, they are glued on. Removing them is going to damage the sheetrock. Cut around them with a razor knife to limit the amount of damage, then knock them off with a hammer. Patch the sheetrock as needed and install the new ones.

There will be a little metal slide behind the ceramic base. Hit it upwards after you cut off the wall with a razor or utility knife.

Cut the sheetrock deep enough so the sheetrock paper will not tear as you remove the ceramic bases.

Good luck with your project...
