Tub Faucet

I'm in the early stages of a mini-bathroom remodel. I am trying to remove the tub faucet. It just won't twist. The house is almost 50 years old. I think the faucet has probably been in place for 20+ years. Are there any suggestions on how I can get this thing off. I am not going to keep it, so it doesn't matter if I damage it. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Eric. . .

Shut water off and cut the faucet out below the water line connections of the faucet and cap off.
