no hot water in shower

no hot water in shower
We bought our house new in 2001. About a month ago, the faucet in our guest bathroom decided it only wanted to give cold water (until then it had worked fine). The water is controlled by a Moen single bath/shower knob. The handle itself is clear plastic in a teardrop shape and only turns (it is not a pull out model).
I took off the knob, removed all easily removed parts and did not see any obvious problems (to my uneducated eye). The hot water in the rest of the house is fine (including a sink in the same bathroom).
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

DIY Has Moen Pages
Hello: Ca Hendry
If you want thoughts, I am not a plumber but I do have a thought to offer, as well as some links below.
Not likely but possible, the faucets cartridge is wornout.
Moen faucets are quality products and often last years. Could be some debris in the cartridge. Removing it may reveal the cause.
