Angry frozen pipe

MY HOT WATER PIPE IS FROZEN. THE MAIN LINE UNDERNEATH THE HOUSE WAS ATTENDED TO BY A PLUMBER WHO SAID THAT WE HAVE TO HEAT THE PIPE FROM UNDER BACK PORCH. HE HAD HEATED THE MAIN LINE WITH A TORCH, UNSUCCESSFUL.
I HAVE TAKEN A HEATER OUT, REMOVED THE INSULATION, PLACED HEATER AGAINST PIPE, AND FOR 10 MINUTES HELD IT THERE. NO HOT WATER YET.
HOW LONG WILL THIS TAKE AND IS THERE A QUICKER METHOD?
NOTE: I DO NOT HAVE A HAIR DRYER AS RECOMMENDED BY PLUMBER.

1st off do not used caps lock, small caps is easier to read..

Give it time it will thaw out.

Cool

Is can be dangerous overheating a frozen pipe with direct flame. It may cause a steam explosion.
A slower thawing with a hair dryer is best, but just heating the area that the pipe is in will work over time.
Good Luck!
