A few weeks ago, lefty told me I could wire up a zoeller pump switch that was acting up and put in a mercury switch to take over the switching activities for the bad one. Is wiring up the switch on the outside in the "on" position the best way, or should I be going inside the switch box to circumvent it? The darn thing will kick on if I lift in manually, but for some reason the float wont engage it EVERY time. (usually in the middle of the night) tripping the sump alarm...lol There are two mercury switches left at home depot, so I am going tomorrow!

Just finished installing a new 40 gal. hot water heater after the old one burst. The old one failed due to age nothing else. Now after I installed the new one I then went into the house after I filled the tank. I opened all the hot water taps and got a lot of spitting. After a while the spitting stopped and a steady stream of water started. Two hours later I tested the hot water taps again. They all get hot however the faucet in the kitchen (single lever type) doesn't have anywhere near the pressure coming out of it. It doesn't matter if I have it set to hot or cold the pressure it once had is gone. Now in the master bathroom we have two sinks with faucets. Each faucet has it's own shut off valves. When I turned on the hot water for one it's fine, pressure and volume are great. When I turn on the other sink's hot water I have the same pressure loss as in the kitchen. This sink's cold water valve does have the right pressure unlike the faucet in the kitchen. I have checked the tank and there isn't any air in the tank or lines. Everything in the house is fine, Pressure, Volume is fine on all other faucets and showers/baths.
