Sewage Ejection Pump

I am currently finishing off a bathroom in my basement. I already have an ejection pit but the builder installed a regular sump pump in the pit (presumably to save money). I will be finishing the bathroom soon so I need to replace that pump with a Sewage Ejection Pump. Does anyone have any recommendations on what brands are the best? Any ideas on where to buy the pump at the best price? How do I determine what size pump is necessary? The bath is a 1/2 bath and will only have a toilet and sink. Any input is much appreciated!

Thanks!!

Go with a Zoeller sewage ejector pump. I have had nothing but good luck with this product.

The Zoeller is one of the best pumps around. Just be sure you install a fitting in the line so that the sewage will not backflow into the existing sump pump area if not already installed.
Also shut off valves would be handy so you can tear it apart easily when the pump does quit in a few years.

I had a sewage ejector pump in my house for many years and had my share of "fun" with it.

Good luck.
