moving plumbing for sink

I want to install a corner pedestal sink in our tiny 3X5 powder room BUT the pipes are in the wrong place. How hard is it to move them about 6 inches to the right. I know how to finish the drywall once the job is done, I just don't know how difficult it will be to move the pipes. (p.s... is this called "roughing in" the plumbing?)

the drain, and hot & cold water pipes are all steel pipes.

Well, not good.

You have to have a knack to work with threaded fittings, which it sounds like that would be your only option.

If you knew how to solder, it would be simple to switch materials and make the changes, but for the drain, that will have to be cut and transitioned to pvc to make that feasible.

There is a little bit of time involved in what you are describing.

If you can, take pictures of your situation, go to www.photobucket.com and provide the image link so that we can better help you.

hmmm... sounds like its over my head! What's a ballpark figure for what I would have to pay a plumber to do this?

Easily over a hundred for sure, but its all depending on location, area, Plumbers in your area. No way of knowing for sure.
