I have a stopped drain in my bathtub. The tub and shower and the walls are all one piece of fiberglass. I can't remove the drain so that I have a large enough hole to insert a snake or auger. I have tried two applications of a drain cleaner that expands to clean the walls of the pipe. I have tried two times putting down the baking soda and vinegar. Nothing works. I would like to know how to remove the metal thing in the bottom of the tub where the plug goes so I can insert a snake or closet auger. Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated.

hey jim,
if you are describing your bath tub
you need too remove the 2 screws that
hold the overflow plate on and run your
cable there, that will dump you straight
down into the trap, use a hand auger
with a 1/4''to 3/8 cable.
