low hot water pressure
#1

We had a water softener installed now I notice that we have little to no hot water pressure and it gets worse further away from
the water heater. The water also "spurts" out of the faucet. We had this problem over a weekend about 3 months ago, but it seemed to resolve, now after the softener installation it is worse again.

is it just the hot water?
the softener will affect hot and cold
since it is installed on the main water line.
the softener has obviously created a
restriction that's amplifing an already
present restriction on the hot side.
if you have globe valves instead of
full port gate valves this will restrict the
system as well, your problem is friction loss
not a pressure drop.
