garbuerator just BLEW UP in two apts. in my bldg..why?

I live in a relatively new condo. Two of the garbuerators in my building went off like a bomb just now! Why. Apparently there is a huge mess of vegetable like rotted matter EVERYWHERE! One lady has never used hers. She has the most mess. The guy below her also has back up but not yet to the same degree. I have an idea what may have caused it. What should we do?

stubborn shower faucets

I want to install new shower faucets as well as fix the dripping that occurs.Can someone tell me how to remove these stubborn faucets. The screws that hold the handles on will not come out, tried wd-40 to loosen, tried drilling them out with a "tap". Tap broke off while trying to drill out the brass screw.Nothing works.
