I have a single "leaking" faucet arrangement with the handle seated on a round knob. The handle is remoable by loosening the set screw. However, I can not budge the circular ribbed ring that I assume must be loosened to disassemble the faucet for repair. I have used wd-40; I've used padded wrenches on the base and the ring. Any suggestions?

sounds like a single lever Delta or
peerless lavatory faucet?
I have encountered the same thing you
are dealing with now,I would just replace the faucet.

Shower Faucett

We rarely use our spare bathroom but a guest used it this morning. Now it is dripping and it has gotten worse all day and now it is a stream. I took 3 or 4 parts off of it but that's all that comes off. The parts I took off do not look like they would cause any problems. There is not a washer or anything for example. Please help.

I have a Delta Shower Faucet that started to drip and now it had turned into a steady stream. I took the faucet apart but don't see anything that appears to be the problem. I took everything apart that will come off. THe diagram on the leaky faucet is similar to the shower faucet, but it is different. I don't know if what I have off will help me at all in the hardware store.
