WE HAVE LIVED IN OUR HOUSE FIVE YEARS AND 6 OR 7 TIMES OUR TUB AND TOILET BACK UP WHEN THE WASHER DRAINS. WE HAVE HAD OUR LINES SNAKED BY PLUMBERS BUT THE LAST THREE TIMES
THEY FOUND NOTHING BLOCKING THE LINES. IT HAS BEEN LESS THAN A YEAR SINCE THE LAST INCIDENT AND IT IS HAPPENING AGAIN. THE TUB AND TOILET DRAIN FINE BY THEMSELVES BUT THE WASHER BACKS UP. OUR LAUNDRY ROOM AND BATHROOM ARE ADJACENT TO ONE ANOTHER. IS THERE ANYTHING WE CAN DO TO FIX THIS WITHOUT PAYING A PLUMBER TO TELL US THEY CAN'T FIND ANYTHING?

unless the toilet is on the same line that
the kitchen sink is on(normally it is not)
the build-up from the sink will lessen
the capacity the drain can carry and will
show itself by causing a back-up.
if this is not the problem you may have
a belly in the line,a common settling
problem by not properly backfilling the sewer
after it is installed, this can create a trap in the line where solids will accumulate
and cause a stoppage.
tell me what you find
