Installing Hot Water Dispenser
#1
I am installing a hot water dispenser to my kitchen sink. It comes with a saddle valve for the water connection. However, I have the flexible copper tubing under my sink. Do I hook the saddle valve to the copper tube from the faucet or do I need to use some kind of three way valve?

the saddle valve is not an approved way
of making a connection, they are designed
to work best on 1/2 copper, but they always
eventually leak.they also restrict the flow of water,I would use a compression tee
and cut that into the 1/2 inch service
feeding the cold side of the faucet(before the angle stop)then use a 1/2x1/4 angle or
straight stop to make the hook-up to the
dispinser.
