Water Softner
#1
Resin from water softner leaked into plumbing lines. The softner is a 10 year old sears kenmore high capacity. I cleared resin from pipes and now by-pass the softner. Why is the resin leaking and how difficult is this to repair? Parts for the softner are available from the sears web site. Thanks for any advice you can offer.

hi,
it sounds like you have a hole or leak in the distributor tube inside the softener. the only way to tell is to take the valve off the softener and check the tube. sears softeners don't last much more than 5 or 6 years most of the time. if you have any other questions or if i can help in any way, contact me at h2owhiz@aol.com or call 407-944-0968.
good luck,
