WATER PUMP SHUTS OFF AND ON FAST

We have our own well, and lately the pump will run for 3 seconds and than shut off for 10 seconds . It will repeat like this the whole time water is being used. Age of pump, well and pressure tank is 6 1/2 years. The pump is a RED JACKET 1/2 hsp,pressure tank is a 20 gal. Over all water pressure seems to have also dropped.

Sounds like a faulty presure switch to me.

I have the exact same problem! If you happen to find out what it is, let me know. I'm going to tinker with it tomorrow and I'll do the same if I figure it out.

Yup, a water-logged pressure tank no doubt. You need to pump in some air to increase the air pressure once again. You may be able to rent an air tank from a local hardware. My husband bought one to use on ours. It has come in handy for lots of uses.

Clogged Drain

My Kitchen sink is clogged, I've tried several different commercial and "home" solutions with no luck. I have already checked the trap and it is clear. The bathroom sink, toilet are both fine, and the washing machine drains fine too. What should my next step be--without callling a plumber? I've heard about snakes before, but never used one. I know I can purchase or rent one. Question I have is: Is there a certain type I should get, and is there a certain way to use a snake--Thanks for your help..I'm new to this homeowner stuff. toilet seat replacement

Old seat is cracked, and needs to be replaced. The bolt assembly is rusted tight. What if I crack the toilet? Any help on how to proceed?
