Question

Is there very much of an advantage to insulating the hot water lines that will be located under the slab?

IF YOU ARE USING COPPER THEY NEED TO BE SLEVED,YOU WILL LOOSE ALOT OF HOT WATER ENERGY IF THE PIPES ARE IN DIRECT CONTACT WITH THE SUB-SOIL. YOU CAN USE THE RUBBER SPLIT SEAM INSULATION / SLEVING ON THE
UNDER GROUND WATER PIPING,BE SURE THE INSULATION EXTENDS ABOVE THE FINISHED FLOOR.
