Whistling shower head?

I just had a large additon put on our home.We got a new water service,New hot water boiler and water maker, new hot water baseboard heat.I had all new drains and plumbing replaced in the original bath. When I use the shower it makes a whistling sound. What is the cause?Should I replace the old shower head?Any suggestions would be appreciated.

The problem could very well be the 2.5 gpm water restrictor in the shower head. You can remove the head and take out the restrictor, or install a new shower head.

The problem could also be inside of the faucet itself, this would require a repair to the faucet to correct the problem.

That's funny--mine started whistling when I took the flow restrictor out!

But I can get wet in the shower without having to run in a circle now!

I had the same problem and replaced that faucet head and thing that switches from bath to shower--worked like a charm.
