The lever which closes the bathtub drain has frozen in the open position. Cannot move this at all! Home Depot recommended Draino, but nothing happened. Any other suggestions?

Cool

Sounds like a problem with the trip-lever assembly. Unscrew the two bolts holding the lever plate to tub, and pull out the linkage. Make sure that it all comes out down to the plunger barrel that actually closes off drain. Fish it all out if it doesn't. Inspect linkage. Could be something as simple as a missing cotter pin. Good Luck!

When you pull out the trip-lever you might find lots of corosion on the inside, clean it off and oil the back of the lever. That should help.
