Not sure what sort of a snake you were using, but a toilet auger should be strong enough to either push the bar through or tear it apart enough to get it through. An ordinary drain snake is too flexible to do either
We just bought a 7 year old house and the single-handle kitchen faucet leaks slightly when you turn it on. The leak appears both at the base of the faucet and also midway down the base. We called in a plumber (for a different problem) and he said we'll probably have to replace the whole thing, and that he'd charge between $250 and $400 for it. We really can't afford that kind of expense. Any tips on how to fix/replace it ourselves? Thanks!!!
I am remodelling a bathroom. I have pulled
out the old rather small fiberglass
shower stall and am intalling a new larger one. The problem is the location of the drain pipe which runs under the basement slab. I have busted up the slab and found that the drain pipe is cast iron.
What is the recommended method (if any) for
connecting PVC drain pipe to cast iron.
It would be very inconvienent to replace the
entire cast pipe.
