Shower drain problem

I have a shower in the lower level of a bilevel home that won't drain very well. I have had three drain companies try to unclog it, but none have been able to do so. The consensus is that a plastic cap from a shampoo bottle has gotten caught at the elbow. Is there anything that can free this up, short of tearing out the shower and concrete floor beneath the shower stall enclosure?

Did somebody remove the strainer cover from the drain? Must have, otherwise, nothing larger than 1/4 inch diameter could have gone down the drain. A cap from a shampoo bottle shouldn't have gotten wedged in the trap or an elbow though. That drain is 2" pipe. A more likely culprit is a toy or a fingernail brush. If a drain snake hasn't been able to push it through, how about trying one of those 24" flexible part retrievers -- the type you push the button on the end to open 3 claws. Might be able to grag it with that. Hope this helps.
