My problem: My hot water into my bathtub is very slow. The cold water runs great. I supect the problem stems from mineral deposits loosen up by a repair I did last weekend (I turned off the main value to repair an outside leaking faucet).

So now my hot water is very slow flowing at the kitchen faucet and in my bedroom bathroom's bathtub and sink. My other bathroom has great hot water pressure and flow in the sink and shower.

Are there any suggestions?

Thanks for your input!

TRY BACKFLUSHING, TURN OFF THE WATER INLET TO THE WATER HEATER ATTACH A HOSE,TURN IT ON.
OPEN THE HOT ALL THE WAY ON THE VALVE THAT IS GIVING YOU TROUBLE,HOLD YOUR HAND OVER THE TUB SPOUT OR SHOWER HEAD AND OPEN THE COLD ALL THE WAY, THIS WILL FORCE WATER BACK
THRU THE HOT LINE AND HOPEFULLY CLEAR IT OUT.

Hi:kevin

Another 2 suggestions:

Remove and clean any faucet filter screens. While the filter screen on the faucet is removed, turn on that faucets hot water and let it blast out to clear it out.

Next, attach an ordinary garden hose to the flush faucet on the water heater and extend it out to the street gutter. Open that faucet on the tank and allow it flush out any sediment on the bottom of the water heater tank.

Be advised:
You DO NOT need to close any other valve on the tank. Just be sure the hoses hot water will not be near anything or anyone while flushing.

Also be sure NO faucet inside the house is opened during this brief process.

You only need to flush the tank until the water coming out runs clear. In some cases this happens quickly or may take a minute or so. Once it runs, close the tank faucet and remove the hose.

Good Luck
