Cool

If you don't have a hot water line cutoff in back of shower, cutoff cold water supply to water heater, which will accomplish same thing. (Don't run hot water anywhere in house while heater is off.) Pry out handle cap with knife point. Remove screw holding handle. Remove handle. Remove bonnet, if there is one (just unscrew by hand). Should see hexagonal part on valve body. If you can't reach this with a crescent wrench, you will need a deep body valve socket set (rent/borrow/buy), because you have to have one of the exact same size as that hexagonal part. Remove valve. Take to hardware store. May only need to replace rubber washer on end or an o-ring to solve problem. Check valve seat in pipe with flashlight. This needs a special tool, also, to remove/replace. I'm not a plumber, but there are pros in here that can help you, if you run into any problems. Good Luck!
