I need a crash course in yard drainage. What kind pof pipe do I use? How far apart should they be? Should I cover with stone and then soil? How deep? I am at a loss. I have a very wet yard. There are puddles in the yard. There is a stream that runs through it. I was hoping to run pipes into the stream to drain the yard. Please help.

Without seeing the lay of the land in your yard, it would be difficult to impossible to tell you the best way to drain it. Also, would it be legal to drain it into the stream? (If you're in CA or WA, the answer is NO!!!) Better check on that first. Then get some suggestions from a grading contractor or landscaper who can actually see the yard
