Cool

Septic systems need little maintenance. It depends on your soil type/usage on how often you pump the tanks out (every 3-7 years). The best maintenance is to add 1 lb. copper sulphate every 3-4 months or so (comes in 3 lb bags, and cheap)to keep roots out of your drainlines. The so-called septic system treatments that you're supposed to add are useless. Add regular yeast, if you want to. Does same thing. Don't worry about it. Good Luck!!

Cool

All you have to do is flush copper sulphate down toilet into system. Coincidentally, I just did our sytem last night.
