DOES ANYONE KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT SEPTIC TANKS? HOW DO WE NEED TO CARE FOR ONE ON A DAILY, WEEKLY, OR MONTHLY BASIS? HOW DO WE KNOW WHEN IT SHOULD BE EMPTIED? I WAS TOLD EVERY THREE YEARS? DOES ANYONE KNOW IF THIS IS CORRECT?

Septic systems need little maintenance. It depends on your soil type/usage on how often you pump the tanks out (every 3-7 years). The best maintenance is to add 1 lb. copper sulphate every 3-4 months or so (comes in 3 lb bags, and cheap)to keep roots out of your drainlines. The so-called septic system treatments that you're supposed to add are useless. Add regular yeast, if you want to. Does same thing. Don't worry about it. Good Luck!!
