Help!! We have been informed by the city that we have a leak somewhere between the city supply and out house. So far we have taken down a tree and had the first ten feet of pipe fixed and it appears that we still have a leak. What is the best way to fix this? The pipe runs under a drive way and then enters the house. The only other problem we have is we think we have found the main shut off in the house but it must me old because if it is is stops the water flow very slowly. How can we be sure this is the main cut off for the water in the house? Your help would be greatly appriciated. Thanks

I'm roughing in a new location for my kitchen sink. I plan to use shutoff valves with compression fittings on the 1/2 inch supply lines. When the new cabinets arrive, I intend to remove the valves, drill 3/4 inch holes in the cabinet, and then replace the valves when the cabinet is in place. Should I bother with that, or just drill larger holes in the cabinet ? If I do remove/replace, is it OK to reuse the same valves ? I don't know if such compression fittings are designed to be used more than once.
