hot water faucet poorly installed, no pressure?
#1

I live in an apartment building with a very sweet, but not "fix it" savvy super. After figuring out that my bathtub faucets were leaking, he replaced them and in doing so has reduced my hot water to a mere trickle. This leaves me with far below great water pressure in the shower. I believe that in his ignorance of this field he has wrongly installed the fixtures. I can't figure out how to take off the fixture to try and readjust for better pressure. I'm wary of asking him to fix since I don't believe he's capable. The fixtures are octagonal in shape, with a plastic insert at the center front labeled "H", for obvious reasons. If I take the insert out, there is a screw back behind it...I've unscrewed that but it does nothing to get the handle off. I'm not sure what to check for once I do get it off, but it seems to me to be a good start. Could it be a bum fixture or does it sound like he maybe did something to the threads before replacing the handle? I'd appreciate any help. Thanks!

Make sure the water is off 1st, once the handle is removed, then remove the trim, then you should see the stem, you have to remove the stem from the valve, there could be a loose washer, or the washer may not even be attached, reattach this or tighten it up.
