I am pouring a new gypcrete floor. I am planning to pull pull up the toilet prior to the pour, support the closet flange with a block of wood, then re-seat the toilet after the pour. Is it possible to remove the gunky wax from the closet flange, or will I have to re-plumb the whole toilet drain? The current closet flange is glued tight to the ABS drain line. Thanks

Your toilet flange should be flush with and secured (screws, nails, etc.)to the floor. Scrape off any old wax seal, and replace with a new one when setting the toilet back. Good Luck!

Toilet Flange

We just had our flooring replaced in our bathroom and we were told the tiolet flange needs to be lowered. Our toilet is sitting 1/4" off the floor. How do we do it? Please help!

Toilet refilling every 5 minutes

I also have a toilet that refills every 5 or 6 minutes. It doesn't refill completely but it seem that the floater ball dips low enough and it fills up a bit then shuts off. I've replace a leaky ?floater flap? cause I could hear the water dripping. After that there is no dripping sound but the dang toilet still refills every 5 minutes. Any help?
