can i use plumers putty on a cultured marble sink

I'm holding my plumber's putty in my hand,
and on the reverse side it states that plumber's putty is NOT recommended for mar-
ble. Instead, tub and tile caulk should be used. I hope this answer will suffice.

Hi. But cultured marble isn't really marble, it's cast polymer (plastic). I'm thinking it's ok to use plumbers putty on cast polymer. Anybody know?

I have used it all the time, never had a problem.
