Toilet wobbles

Hi Margarco.
The only way to do it right is to pull and reset the toilet. If it's been wobbling the seal at the wax ring will be leaking. Where there is some work involved it's well within the scope of capability of the avid do-it-yourselfer! I would not recommend it for the faint of heart though. Best to get some info on it either in the repairs section of this site or by picking up a book on the subject.

margarco,
Pete's right. Best to replace wax seal under toilet. Once they start wobbling, it usually ruins the seal. Get new wax ring and toilet bolts. Turn off water supply to toilet. Flush. Sponge out leftover water (tank/bowl). Disconnect water supply. Remove retaining nuts from toilet bolts on both sides of toilet at floor. Carefully turn (porcelain breaks easily) toilet on side, and scrape off old wax seal off toilet and floor flange. Stick new wax seal to bottom of toilet. replace toilet bolts. Set toilet onto flange, and sit or stand on toilet and wiggle it down firmly to floor. Replace toilet bolt nuts snuggly (but not too tight, or you might crack toilet base). Reconnect water supply. Good Luck!

Thanks for the help. Home repair doesn't scare me but the toilet may be a bit too heavy for me to handle alone. I'll call a plumber.
