Toilet intermittantly runs continuously after flushing. It stops with manually lifting the float arm. It is a new toilet. What can I do to permanantly fix tis problem? There are 2 screws at the base of the float arm; do those need adjusting?

Thanks for any suggestions.

The float level is set too high. If you have a ball **** (big black ball on the end of a brass rod), bend the rod down slightly (use two hands on it!). If you have a fluidmaster vill valve, squeeze the pinch clip and slide the black float down a little.
